Traveling to the big city to watch your favourite huge band or artist live in concert can
be an unpleasant ordeal Especially if your journey means relying on public transport
or a planned road trip to the other side of the country risking being stuck in traffic But
earlier this year the American inventor Elon Musk announced plans to start digging a
traffic easing tunnel under Los Angeles He also suggested that this is the future for
connecting cities across the world Some of you readers may already consider Elon as
one of the world's greatest inventors but when you analyse some of his concepts such
as his recent car tunnel idea they appear moronic about as practical as a chocolate fire
guard and sadly many out there are too brainwashed by the media to notice how much
utter bollocks he's talking I call this bullshit
Elon's futuristic vision is to create many
entrances and exits to his proposed tunnels via
existing roads located on the surface that
behave like elevators which take up two car
parking spaces and lower your vehicle feet
underground onto a large electric sled or skate
which then travels at
mph down a narrow
unventilated tunnel with your car on it This
concept is supposedly to destroy traffic
congestion arguably in the same way as it
destroys many crash test dummies Elon
believes a person could get from LAX airport to
west side Los Angeles in roughly or minutes
I can just see a traffic jam emerging when a car
can't manoeuvre onto an empty sled because
there's the dead body of a skateboarder
sprawled across it due to the surprise gigantic
hole in the pavement When an elevator goes
down can you picture the queues waiting?
There's going to be cars behind it parked honk
ing their horns ramming their way to get to the
front How slow is the elevator going up and
down feet carrying your expensive car?

One car going in it goes down the elevator on
the sled that was waiting at the top of the
surface; then gets fired down the acceleration
tunnel at
mph leaving a big unprotected
fucking hole in the road for another car to
possibly fall down and kill themselves with and
hopefully they won't have a trailer or caravan
attached to block the tunnel What's unclear is
when they raise the elevator back up again will
there be another empty fresh sled ready for a
new car to drive onto? If so then how? Surely
it'd be blocking the tunnel if there was one
waiting there so how the hell does another car
get to use the same elevator? So if you're
driving along and you see an elevator shaft area
then you have to hope there's a car that's just
got off it leaving the sled free for you to get on
it Oh and how is the car going to be stable and
secured on the sled? You need to strap it down
otherwise if the sled is accelerating at
mph
then the car will be an absolute wreck
