rehearsals. We built a room that sounds great,
as opposed to several small acoustically 'dead'
spaces where artificial reverbs are necessary to
replace some kind of sonic environment for the
music. Judging from full live recordings with
Darkside
, The Midland's premier Pink Floyd
Tribute, our room works a treat. The recordings
sound every bit as good as the band do live.
The other bonus is that when we record
instruments individually, as is quite common with
recording in recent times, our room preserves

"After working in several of the local studios as
well as some of the UK's most revered
recording institutions, I decided Wolverhampton
needed a different approach to recording.
Instead of building a studio with several small
foam filled rooms, my studio partner Ross
(Wareing) and I decided to build a studio with a
single large live room.

Sugarthief
, another Midlands band, whose songs
'Crowing Youth' and 'New Ends' have received interest from Flying Vinyl, leading to a
double A Side release on 7" Vinyl through their new but rapidly growing label.
Their in-house Studio Producer/Engineer,
Gazz Rogers
, enjoys a varied musical taste,
from solo acoustic songwriters to folk, indie and right through to the heaviest of heavy
metal bands for which the Midlands is famous for.
