Electus:
That's a great question, and the answer
isn't too easy. I would say I write songs for myself
first, and hopefully someone will take the time to
listen and get a kick out if it. It's not what I'd call
revolutionary - more back to basics. I ask myself
‘would I have it in my music library?’ Then the
feedback starts to pour in and thankfully the
feedback has really surprised me, we're truly
pleased and excited.
RGG:
Which Electus song is the most personal
to you?
Electus:
All the songs I write are based on
personal experience, they have their own lives to
live so to speak. At the moment "Slip away"
touches a nerve as it reminds us never to give
up on our dreams and so with focus and
determination we can achieve anything and
everything.
RGG:
Is the Midlands a good place to be a
musician and why?
Electus:
Wow! If we're specifically talking of
Rock bands, I'd say yes definitely this is the
birthplace of Rock and Metal. We know the
heritage, it's in our blood. Work hard, play hard
and repeat! As long as there is angst in the world
there will always be somebody ready with a
drum, a bass, and a guitar ready to rebel. Ergo
the essence of Rock and roll. Long live rock and
Roll.
RGG:
What plans does Electus have for the
future?
Electus:
For the moment we’re concentrating on
promotion/touring throughout 2017 around the
UK. We have a few festivals as well as shows
planned for the Midlands then we will do a couple
of dates in Germany and the USA before we go
back in the studio for an early 2018 release.
