RGG:
What's the simplest way to explain the
sound of Electus?
Electus:
The simplest way to explain the sound
of electus? Well the essence, if you will, is hard
rock - pure and simple hard rock’n’roll from the
perspective of electus unvarnished! Some might
say we are what we eat and so our roots are
galvanized from the rock fraternity of the 70s,
80s and 90s. Whether that be from Zeppelin to
Opeth, we are inspired by many genres of music,
from glam to thrash with a sprinkle of the more
modern rock bands like disturbed, or maybe a
touch of Ludovica Einaudi.
RGG:
Electus has had a lot of media success in
recent times. Would you like to elaborate for the
readers?
Electus:
Media success? Hmm... It's all relative
I suppose. It's quite humbling, but it can be
addictive. Once you get that taste you always
want more and more. Our follow up album
#2 "Rock & Roll Incarnate Part One" is opening
new doors for us. Since the album and single
"Ticket to Nowhere" came out end of April, we've
been receiving great reviews across the rock
fraternity from the likes of
Fireworks, Powerplay
,
Rock and Metal
magazines plus online reviews
almost every week. What has been really
humbling is the feedback from across the globe,
with online Rock radio stations really getting
behind "Ticket to Nowhere" and putting the single
on syndication hourly. It's very flattering, so we
have been enjoying the attention and doing radio
interviews online with local and national radio
including Kerrang, Hard Rock Hell and WCR.
BBCWM also let us blast out on the breakfast
show! So thank you to everyone, it means a lot
to us.
RGG:
Now that it's released and receiving great
feedback you must be pretty chuffed with the
colossal sound of the new album? At which point
during its recording would you say you felt most
confident that you had a strong album?
