YEARS
1995-2016
Some blogs and publications have mentioned or
hinted at laddish behaviour by the band, but
here's a clear example of a very caring attitude
from these musicians and that must be praised.
The band have since then worked hard;
appeared at Leeds and Y Not music festivals
and had support slots with artists such as
Ratboy and Blossoms. There's a strong sense
of professionalism within the band and that
definitely comes across in their music videos.
Their most recent release is 'Tell Her How You
Feel' which shows the band in a colourful
cartoon-like suburban setting performing in a
kitchen with yellow attire. It's on YouTube and its
a very slick well made video. Singer Mike
Stanton visually stamps his authority on screen
and shows that The Assist are more than ready
for the popular music charts. This is a great
sounding band and we at RGG magazine can’t
wait to see them as joint headliners at this years
Wolvesfest.
You can buy earlybird tickets to see The Assist
on Friday June 17th at Wolves Fest 2017 for £10
