Humdrum Express announces album launch show in Stourbridge

Friday 31st January 2020 | Claptrap, Stourbridge
+ TV Smith

'Ultracrepidarian Soup' will be released on Friday 31st January, with a celebratory launch night gig taking place at Claptrap the Venue in Stourbridge to coincide with Independent Venue Week.

UK punk rock legend TV Smith has kindly agreed to be part of the night, performing a very special support set.

"Following the release of E-Petition two years ago, I thought it might be a good idea to write a collection of songs that continued the internet/social media theme, in a bid to document the quirks of cyber times.

As ever, I’m indebted to engineer/producer/top mate Mick Lown for our collaborative creations (admittedly, more fun than hard work), and to band members Andrew Boswell, Mooncat Drums, Glen Belt and Ted Cartwright for their skill and (occasional) humour!

For the first time (and fulfilling a lifetime dream) the album will be available on limited edition vinyl, as well as CD and the usual downloads/streams."

Album track list:

Motivational Wall Art
Online Beer Club
Blue Plaque Building
Novelty Tie
Coffin Cam
Message Board Hooligan
Curse of the Modern Musician
Pop Culture Musings
Fading Stars on Social Media
E-Petition!
The King of Spain
Chased By the Grammar Police
