seem to echo heavier bands such as Black
Sabbath or Rage Against The Machine with their
use of chromatic heavy riffs. If you haven't yet
heard of them before or seen The Bad Flowers
perform live on stage then to get a quick idea for
yourself of what they look and sound like we'd
suggest first checking out the music video for
'Living The Dream' on YouTube which was
filmed by Oliver Bowyer. Once you're hooked
then you're gonna want to hear more music by
them so whilst you wait for their debut album to
be finished and released you can currently
download from their official site their self titled
EP which has four songs including 'Can You
Feel It?', 'City Lights', 'Big Country' and 'Run,
Run, Run'. The Bad Flowers have a brilliant
overall formula that seems to really work and
you may be mistaken for thinking that the only
thing missing is frontman Tom Leighton not
having a plant related name such as Axl Rose
or Robert Plant but you'd be incorrect as the
meaning of the name Leighton is actually herb
garden.
You can watch The Bad Flowers live in
Birmingham at Mama Roux's on Saturday
January 21st where they will share a stage with
Black Rose Cadillac, The New Blacks, Crimson
Star and Killer Bob.
