Verdict:
Kidderminster based band RUSTLUNG release their debut
EP titled “Origins” recorded at the Shredder Live Lounge in
Worcestershire. Three tracks on offer here; if you like heavy stoner groove metal (which to me
means slow bluesy metal with chunky riffs) then this band will definitely be of interest to you. Songs
like “Homegrown” and “Punch Drunk” demonstrate their sound but to me the last track “Shit-eating
Grin” sells them the most; it stands out more as a song, is a lot more in-your-face and is filled with
attitude. Good start and I'm sure we'll hear a lot more from these guys. I've seen them live so I
know damn well that they got more good tunes to come. Watch out for RUSTLUNG.

Double Edged Swords" is the latest single from
acoustic legend IAN PASSEY. With lyrics like ''It's like
being offered a slot on Later With Jools- as long as you let him join in - Boogy Woogy
piano chords, double edged swords'' you get the idea that this is yet another
in-depth poetic and satirical look at modern society by the master of cynicism
and what a tune it is! As a song I believe this is very commercial, inspiring and
the pure lyrical genius just has got to be heard; rather than me type out more
lyrics I suggest you listen, download it or watch his music video on YouTube. An
absolutely brilliant song.

A brand new music video for Herefordshire
musician RIA otherwise known as RIA PARFITT has recently
been launched on YouTube revealing a previously never before heard unreleased tune by her.
The music video is directed by top film maker Thomas Lee Rutter and if this song is anything
to go by; RIA could make some big waves in the music industry. The song has the expected
great songwriting, singing and guitar playing from Ria but this is art on maximum overload;
like a love child emerging from a threesome between BOWIE, KATE BUSH and TOYAH. The
music scene needs someone like this to make major change. You can check out lots of her other
songs on ReverbNation such as “Fighter Plane”, “Put On A Light” and “Black Cherry”. Great work.
She's more talented than you.
