Verdict:
THE PARADE are a funk rock band, massively influenced by artists such as PRINCE,
INXS, RHCP, PHARELL WILLIAMS, RONSON and DURAN DURAN. They recorded this three track demo
EP to get themselves some attention for their live shows which at the moment seem to be mainly in the
Coventry area but they are on the lookout for gigs all over the Midlands. A little bit of trivia but their drummer
used to be in BEBOP DELUXE in the 1970's. The demo highlight is the original track 'Champaign' which
is more 80's than Margaret Thatcher french kissing a Rubik's cube, doubtful that it'd appear in the charts
but what do I know? Whose to say that this isn't what the world needs right now? THE PARADE are looking
to play at venues near you. Everyone needs a little nostalgia now and then so who ya gonna call? Book these
guys if you miss that classic sound of Roland keyboards and funky basslines, musically the demo is actually
very good and it does exactly what is says on the 80's tin

Verdict:
ELEKTRA PALACE are a Leeds based band releasing their single 'Dropping
Through This Floor'. First impressions? Well the tune reminded me somehow of the early 90's
British indie scene, it might be just a one-off song style with that kind of feel but if this is how
ELEKTRA PALACE intend to go then I think it's a bold and impressive move. Good bass lines,
drums and guitar work, sounds like a demo recording more than a single (really hope I haven't
peed off some engineer saying that, sorry) but if this band study the likes of INSPIRAL
CARPETS, HAPPY MONDAYS, SOUP DRAGONS and THE FARM, aim for much bigger
production, and go the whole hog (those bands I mentioned were household names
once) then I think ELEKTRA PALACE could be very successful. There is a great frontman
here and he's got a voice that sells it, it's the vocals that drive the tune. I really liked the
song, you can tell they are creative but I think they need better recording production and a
big visual image to match. Brilliant start but they can do something that'll get the worlds at-
tention if they listen to what I've said. I sense massive potential here but it needs work

Verdict:
REAGAL from Stoke On Trent release 'Wild Heart' and it's absolutely incredible; it's a fusion of
styles including Indie, Folk, Celtic, and Gothic Rock but it's a winner and it works so well. Basically you have
two powerful frontwomen working as a vocal tag team singing over music played by what sounds like indie
rock vikings; gentle then epic, you know what? Just bloody listen yourself. This is too good, it's actually genius;
am I making myself clear? Big pianos, delicate singing followed by gigantic rock ballad-esque moments worthy
of MEATLOAF or FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE and they're right here in the Midlands. This would have
been Album of the month had I not been sent a single. Okay, I'm going to suggest to the editor in this very
review if he can create a single of the month especially for this. Did it work? Look above. Anyway just get this
now. It's phenomenal
