Congratulations must go to Rebecca Downes
and her band for achieving the accolades of
Best Female Vocalist
and
Best Emerging
Artist
at the recent 2016 British Blues Awards.
We have been championing Rebecca for a while
now - she has made the cover of RGG twice in
the last 18 months - and it’s great to see local
talent mixing it up with the best this country has
to offer and walking away as winner in two of the
three categories she was nominated for.
Those of you who came to Wolvesfest this year
can attest to her raw power and stunning stage
presence. A superb vocalist and guitarist, all her
hard work has paid off and we can’t wait to see
her perform at The Robin in Bilston as part of the
UK Blues Challenge on 12th of November
