New EP
Seasons End
launched at
Deadbangers Ball 6
on 29th October
@ Ye Olde Foundry
Black Country groove-stoner-doom-beer-metal band
Eyes Of The Raven, have, over the last eight years,
made it very clear that they like a drink or two on stage
and enjoy playing the music they love which,
according to the band, involves writing heavy as hell
tunes, playing killer sets and all done with no bullshit
diva-esque random rants. Arguably EOTR are mainly
inspired by a good healthy upbringing of solid bands
such as Sabbath, Pantera, Iron Maiden and Entombed.
the Raven don’t just play music they live it
”.
On the subject of their second official recording,
new EP 'Seasons End', the band explains:
A long running joke has for years been about
the band actually releasing songs on this EP and
over the past six years many songs have been
cut and binned from the list, due to politics,
royalties and general distaste for the writings.
The sound of the band has changed along with
its members so the band in its current form
wanted to put a cap on things and show what is
essentially the end of a very long season”.
Eyes Of The Raven have a good track record
on the live gig circuit. They've supported big
bands such as
Orange Goblin
, performed
outstanding sets on key events such as
Midlands Metal Crusade
and
Metal 2 The
Masses
along with earning a reputation for
being honest beer guzzling musicians with the
determination to write and play heavy as hell
riffage.
“On stage this band will show this way
of life isn't dead and in fact very much alive,
reviews show we generate a positive
atmosphere and break down barriers between
crowd and band and make the audience feel
part of the gig and part of the show”
The band have recently launched a new
website
which also
has links to their Facebook and Instagram.
Eyes Of The Raven; combining stoner and
groove and a shit load of beer. “
We're not
claiming to have started a musical revolution,
but we've sure as hell put a crack in the mould
”.
