Hey! Hello! is a British-American power pop band, formed by the New
York-based singer Victoria Liedtke and the British singer-songwriter,
Ginger Wildheart
The Pretty Things, featuring original members
Phil May (vocals) and former Rolling Stone,
Dick Taylor (lead guitar), plus long-standing
member Frank Holland (guitar, harmonica,
since 1993), and the dynamic young rhythm
section of George Woosey (bass), and Jack
Greenwood (drums).
After more than 45 years of continuous
service, The Pretty Things remain a significant,
challenging force in Rock 'n' Roll. Despite their
veteran status, their contemporary relevance,
undiminished energy, and inspirational
commitment inspire emerging generations of
new artists and young fans, whilst retaining
their devoted, fanatical, core fan base.
Their career is a tribute to righteous,
unswerving convictions, always chosen over a
quick buck. It is no surprise that guitarist Dick
Taylor chose to leave The Rolling Stones,
which he had formed with Mick and Keith, to
pursue a more raw level of energy with The
Pretty Things.
“Dreamy but full of
attitude, violent yet
extremely peaceful.
Something covered in musical layers yet
stripped down to the bare bones of raw
emotion” –
Louder Than War
“These guys (and gal) are offering something
different in each of their songs, which is a
breath of fresh air” –
Sonic Shocks
“Her vivid narratives, poetic singing and
projection fused with very stylish and rather
fine guitar playing, create so much character
that the tunes are simply memorable”
