Verdict:
Five piece Birmingham metal band
Aversion release the impressive 'Set to Fail'
demo - a preview of what's to come from their
forthcoming five track EP titled 'Edge Of
Insanity'. The song debut can be heard on the
band facebook page and should appeal to fans
of Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch or Slipknot.
According to frontman Callum Green, the band
name was chosen around the word hate and the
song 'Set To Fail' is about “
No matter what
someone does they are set to fail, there are
truths and lies all around us and people don't
know who to trust and who to believe. The
verses become more personal, especially the
second verse, where it talks more about the lies
that someone personally led me to believe"
. The
EP is scheduled for release in November and
Aversion will be playing live in Wolverhampton
supporting The Burning Crows on December
17th at The Wulfrun Hall. You can follow them

Verdict:
Firmly marking her territory as the
female Elvis, rising Birmingham artist Harry
Jordan has already successfully made a
massive first impression on the Country and
Rockabilly scene in both the UK and the US with
her debut EP 'Blowing Up Your Jukebox'. Her
next release is even more exciting and likely to
bring her career to a new high. This time round
she's raised her game with a bigger rockabilly
skiffle sound and three short well written
commercial radio friendly tunes. Title track 'Devil
In A Push Up Bra' and closer 'Magic 8 Ball' both
cement her well deserved dominance in this
genre and 'Bad Woman' sounds as if Harry
Jordan is the ghost of a white Rosetta Tharpe
accompanied with the balls of Johnny Cash.
Joined by musicians Michelle Dawes, Terry Lilly
and Toby Smith, Harry Jordan as an act is a pure
rock 'n' roll leader. The EP will go on sale
September 3rd at a Birmingham show at the
Sunflower Lounge.
