studio albums it was left to “Black Blizzard” to
triumphantly fly the flag for their new album
Here Grog Drew and Al fused Gothic grandeur
with unbridled Metal adding yet another string
to Die So Fluid’s musical bow Despite it being a
Monday night Die So Fluid entertained the
happy throng in attendance; showing that Mon
day nights can rock if you have the right band
and the right fans! Highlights “Happy Hal
loween” “What A Heart Is For” and “Existential
Baby” allowed this impressive three piece band
to flex its collective muscle From the exciting
yet refined guitar playing from Drew to the
rhythmically sympathetic beats from Al to the
impeccable vocals from Grog this was a master
class in music with a heart The symbiosis be
tween hook laden songs and musical heaviness
delivered with such apparent delight by Die So
Fluid has seldom been since the heady heights
of Ozzy Osbourne’s No More Tears
Ending the night with “Not Everybody Gets A
Happy Ending” a power ballad that mixes the
tender with the volcanic This is a sublime track
at the best of times but as a show closer per
fection tears of sorrow and joy colliding in a ca
cophony of guitar hair and sweat Even after
the house lights went up and the PA was being
stripped down the whole band was more than
happy to pose for photos and talk keeping the
bond strong between themselves and their fans
Overall a consummate performance from a
band more than capable of gracing the world’s
largest stages; and with the new album “The
Opposites Of Light” being released on their own
label the future for Die So Fluid is far from
bleak
/ (yes it was that good!)
