Openers This Elegant Chaos were under
pinned by the almost tribal instance of their
drummer Mark Beach “Alive” being the most
obvious example of this Working through a
set of Rock tinged Metal relatively devoid of
clichés two of the more interesting songs from
This Elegant Chaos included “Bloodlust” com
plete with megaphone vocals and “Sick” which
saw guitarist Paul Clifford sing a venomous
duet at or should that be with their vocalist
Steph Taylor Stand in bassist Matt Ensor slot
ted in as if he had always been part of their
sound but a mention must go to the strong
vocals courtesy of Taylor who kept things dy
namic without over doing it While This Ele
gant Chaos may be relatively unknown they
played with astute professionalism genuinely
thanking the audience and tonight’s headliners
With little fanfare Die So Fluid took to the stage
kicking off with “Disconnected” They then pro
ceeded to pummel the audience with a set of su
perior songs easily worthy of gracing the most
discerning Metal or Rock fans collection Superla
tives are only half the battle of trying to do this
band justice they swagger without arrogance
they Rock with out tedium they play with out
fear but boy do they have the songs and their
fans love them for it
Playing a great mix of tracks from their first three
Tonight’s gig in Birmingham formed part of a short tour of
the UK by Die So Fluid, just prior to the release their new
