www.ryansgigguide.com Friday 19th July Castle & Falcon, Birmingham Andy Oliveri and the Mountaineers  www.facebook.com/andyoliveriandthemountaineers + Gray Wave, The New Righteos Mood, Harry Daniels Recalling the spirit of their Krautrock and psychedelic influences,Andy Oliveri & the Mountaineers share the hypnotic visuals for their latest single ‘Six Sisters’, released digitally on 18th April 2019. ‘Six Sisters’ is the latest release from the Cheltenham-based collective and follows the critically acclaimed single ‘WhereWild Flowers Grow Fondly’ which was featured on Mark Radcliffe (BBC6Music), Steve Lamacq (BBC- 6Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X). Combining motorik rhythms, erratic guitars and soaring vocal harmonies, the single dis- plays a sonic shift with the band taking on the role of production for the first time. "When we started recording it was clear we all had these individual ideas and started building these pockets of sound, later compiling them together" says Oliveri, "it was inspiring to bring five minds together and 'Six Sisters' is the truest reflection of this band yet." Having curated their own sold-out festival of music and art last year, the band will taking their mesmerising show back out on the road in July. "We're a live band at heart and can't wait to play some smaller venues. It's all about the connection to the songs.When you can see people getting lost in the sound is when these songs really take life”.
