Ryan's Gig Guide - November 2018
rgg Nov 2018 9 www.ryansgigguide.com Saturday 24th November O2 Institute, Birmingham I’ve never seen Peaky Blinders, or that US TV show you're all banging on about. I have no interest in the zeitgeist, I'm quite happy discovering things in my own time. So despite being well aware of local darlings Peace from magazine covers & tour posters, I'd never listened to them 'properly' until now. Discovering Peace at their third album - 2018's 'Kindness Is The New Rock And Roll', I sense a band that similarly, aren’t bothered what everybody else is doing. They're doing their own thing which has resulted in an album which is delightfully open & shows matu- rity. I've never seen Peaky Blinders... by Fat BlokeWith No Tattoos PEACE The band embark on aWorldTour consist- ing of two dates - Manchester and Birming- ham, here's what singer Harry Koisser says about it... “Throughout my life, people have told me that the size doesn’t matter and that it’s how I use it that makes it so special and look, we have carefully silk screened the zest of that regulation, out of the love life and into the tour life. With this in mind, I’m slightly vibrant to explain to you Peace’s “World Tour 2018”.We’re fantastic to be hitting our old stomping ground of Birmingham and si- multaneously the stronghold of Manchester. Slinging aside the laughs & grinding down the Veneer for a moment, we would absolutely love to be hitting other places fully but at this moment in time we cannot commit to a full loop of the earth until my sartorial issues are fully resolved. peaceforeverever.co.uk
