He has been traveling and touring since the 90s in a journey that has included gigs in over 17 countries world-wide. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Dan started his career as singer and songwriter in critically acclaimed Belfast bandWatercress and penned many of their most popular songs including “Candlemaker”, which reached num- ber 1 in the Irish indie charts and “Stars Shine On”, which also topped the same chart. He has played withWatercress, solo and with Joy Zip- per all across the globe supporting bands such as,Air,The Levellers,The Darkness, Duran Duran, Ian Dury and Turin Brakes to name but a few. In 2000 Dan moved to NewYork and it was here he formed the NewYork based band Sonovagun who packed venues throughout the Tri State area consistently. He has gained con- siderable recognition as a solo singer and song- writer in recent years, both in Europe and America. Dan's toured with the cream of folk royalty in- cluding Seth Lakeman twice on sell out tours of Britain; Oysterband extensively including their 30th Anniversary Tour, and the Levellers, arguably the finest folk rock acts in Europe. You may also have seen Dan playing any of the major summer festivals across the UK such as; Beautiful Days Festival, Glastonbury Festival and The Big Session Festival.
