In 1990 (only 25 years ago, observant readers) when records used
to actually sell, it appeared that some bands sold more long
sleeved t-shirts. The ‘Madchester’ movement was responsible for
most of these sales with Stone Roses and Happy Mondays logos
omnipresent. Even James who were a little long in the tooth got in
on the act with their ‘flower’ logo finally contributing to their long
overdue chart success.
